Improve Tire Lifespan
Here are a few things you can do to make sure your tires last as long as possible that are less extreme:
- Check the pressures at least once a month, and keep them adjusted to the factory recommendation.
- Have the tires rotated about every 6000–8000 miles.
- While regular wheel alignments aren’t as critical as they once were, you should have the suspension and steering checked at least once a year, to make sure everything’s in good shape or to take care of anything that’s worn or damaged.
Finally, take it easy! Hard driving doesn’t just waste gas and wear your car’s brakes; it also wears the tires faster. Driving easier will add miles to your tire life.
