HORSHAM, PA. – Cottman Transmission and Total Auto Care is pleased to announce that its national web site — Cottman.com — has won two separate awards in the Web Marketing Association’s (WMA) 2016 WebAward Competition.

According to the WMA web site, “The Web Marketing Association was founded in 1997 to help set a high standard for Internet marketing and development of the best websites on the World Wide Web…”

“Now in its 17th year, the WebAward program is the longest running annual website award competition dedicated to naming the best web sites in 96 industries, while setting the standard of excellence for all website development.”

In this competition, judges evaluate sites in seven criteria on a scale of 0-10 points:

  • Design
  • Innovation
  • Content
  • Technology
  • Interactivity
  • Copywriting
  • Ease of use

For 2016, Cottman’s web site has won the Standard of Excellence awards in two separate categories: Automotive and Transportation.

“Winning the WebAward was an extremely proud accomplishment for Derik Beck, Cottman’s vice president of digital marketing: “More and more of our initial contact with the motoring public is taking place through the internet,” he says. “So it’s critical that we provide an informative and valuable experience with our web site.”

“That’s no simple task, as automotive technology has become a highly demanding subject in recent years. Making that technology accessible to the general public is a constant struggle, but it’s one we take great pride in. Receiving these awards tells us that we’re hitting the mark when it comes to communicating with today’s car owners.”

The Web Marketing Association announced the results of its 2016 WebAwards on September 12th and presented Cottman Transmissions and Total Auto Care with a certificate of achievement as winners of the Standard of Excellence WebAward in the Automotive and Transportation categories.

“While it’s a terrific acknowledgement for Cottman, it’s just the beginning,” says Beck. “The key to our online success is that we’re constantly adding and improving our information and communication. That’s something we plan to continue as long as there are cars on the road.”
